Culinary Receiver

About the role

The Culinary Receiver joins the Food and Beverage Culinary Department at Atlantic Fields, a Discovery Land Company resort outside Hobe Sound, FL. This position ensures that all food and beverage deliveries are received, inspected, accurately recorded, and stored following strict inventory controls.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming products, label items, and reconcile deliveries with invoices.
• Communicate any shortages or discrepancies to chefs and relevant departments.
• Organize and store products using FIFO methodology, especially for perishable items.
• Operate company vehicles, carts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and forklifts to move goods.
• Pick inventory to fulfill requisitions and maintain par levels.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts according to schedule.
• Complete administrative records such as inventory counts, temperature logs, spoilage logs, and equipment inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including loading docks and freight platforms.
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in resorts, hotels, country clubs, or similar hospitality environments.
• Familiarity with large resort communities and inventory processes.
• Strong decision‑making ability and a positive demeanor in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills for handling member or guest concerns.
