About the role

Join the Food & Beverage – Culinary Department at Silo Ridge Field Club in Amenia, New York, as a Culinary Intern. You will support the creation of memorable dining experiences for members and guests while gaining hands‑on experience in a high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare menu items and daily specials according to specifications set by the Culinary Director or Executive Chef.
• Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and making sauces.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, perform light housekeeping, and manage waste disposal.
• Stock and restock kitchen stations with raw ingredients throughout the shift.
• Monitor expiration dates, inspect ingredients, and ensure only safe, uncontaminated products are used.
• Report equipment maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in department meetings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Culinary or Hospitality program affiliated with Discovery Land Co.
• At least six months of experience in a back‑of‑house foodservice environment.
• ServSafe certified and knowledgeable about health and safety regulations.
• Safety‑conscious, detail‑oriented, and able to work flexible rotating shifts.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills for interacting with members and team members.

Required skills
