Culinary Instructor

About the role

The Arc Ontario is seeking a Culinary Instructor to lead its Training Kitchen Initiative. You will develop and deliver a structured culinary training program that equips participants with real‑world food‑service skills and prepares them for competitive employment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive culinary curriculum aligned with industry standards.
• Provide hands‑on instruction in cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local employers, community organizations, and industry professionals to support job placement.
• Maintain a safe, compliant kitchen environment and ensure all regulatory documentation is completed.
• Track participant progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• At least one year of full‑time experience as a chef, baker, or in a hospitality kitchen.
• Preferred experience providing direct service to individuals with disabilities and prior instructional experience.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for workforce development.
