Critical Utility Systems Technician – Water

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Critical Utility Systems Technician to maintain and troubleshoot industrial water systems at its Fort Worth campus. The role supports energy plant water treatment, reverse osmosis, DI/Carbon exchange, and other water purification equipment, ensuring reliable operation for the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial water systems, including cooling towers, chillers, boilers, RO/DI, and WFI equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and computerized components of water treatment equipment.
• Conduct filter changes, water sanitization procedures, and routine inspections.
• Support equipment validation, quality activities, and compliance with cGMP and environmental regulations.
• Assist with facility modifications and contractor management as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing and communication skills in English.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial water system maintenance.
• On‑site availability in Fort Worth, TX with 0–10% travel.
