Critical Care Paramedic - Night Shift

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Critical Care Paramedic for its Winter Garden, Florida location. The schedule is night shifts (21:00 to 09:00) lasting 12 hours per shift, with weekend availability. The paramedic provides primary patient care on approved transports within their scope of practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement interventions and evaluate the level of patient care according to scope of practice, EMS protocols and department policies.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions and treatments, and educate patients and families about their illness and care.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, anticipate needs for additional equipment and secure tools during transport.
• Drive emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergency conditions.
• Maintain the ambulance in constant readiness and complete medication, supply and equipment inventories each shift.
• Keep patient and departmental documentation accurate, complete and compliant.

Required profile

• Licensed paramedic (PARA).
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) or regular driver's license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Associate degree preferred; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of an accredited critical care paramedic curriculum or certification (CCEMT-P, CICP, UF CCP, FP-C, CCP-C).
• At least 1 year of advanced life support transport experience; 3 years of critical care transport experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of driving passenger vehicles.

The pay range is $23.94 to $44.53. Positions are subject to a Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting. AdventHealth is an equal opportunity employer.
