Criminal Justice Instructor – Full Time

About the role

Northwest Career College is seeking a motivated Criminal Justice Instructor to join its faculty in Las Vegas. The successful candidate will deliver engaging classroom instruction, assess student performance, and contribute to the overall success of the Criminal Justice program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Criminal Justice courses following approved lesson plans, syllabi, and guidance from the Program Chair.
• Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations in a timely and consistent manner.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and required documentation.
• Manage a high volume of administrative tasks and ensure timely submission of academic records.
• Participate in faculty meetings, in‑service trainings, graduation ceremonies, and other college events.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and leadership to support student success.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in security, corrections, or law‑enforcement fields (or four years without formal training).
• Undergraduate degree (Associate’s or higher) in Criminal Justice or a related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain professional appearance.

Required skills

• Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of current educational methodologies and techniques.
