About the role
muscalaw, a dedicated criminal defense firm, is looking for a full‑time attorney to join its team in Fort Walton Beach. The successful candidate will provide robust defense representation for clients across state and federal jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal matters, including court appearances, hearings, and trials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other court documents.
- Negotiate plea agreements and work closely with prosecutors.
- Travel as needed for federal cases; federal licensure is a plus.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
Required profile
- 5–7 years of experience in criminal defense law.
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction (required).
- Former public‑sector experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel for case work.
- Federal licensure is an advantage.
