Credit Risk & Reserve Analyst

About the role

The Credit Risk & Reserve Analyst supports the Condition Monitoring, Discount Window Lending, Collateral Administration, and Reserves functions within the Credit, Risk, and Reserves Management (CRRM) Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Reporting to the Director of Condition Monitoring and Risk Management, the analyst performs risk assessments, financial analyses, and operational tasks that help maintain the stability of the payment system and the banking sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis of District depository institutions, evaluating capital, asset quality, earnings, liquidity, and overall risk.
• Assess account access and service requests, determining risk exposure for the Reserve Bank and the broader financial system.
• Prepare risk assessments, account reviews, and correspondence related to net debit caps and other regulatory metrics.
• Communicate with institutions to resolve complex requests concerning loan advances, payments, intraday credit, and account administration.
• Execute operational tasks such as account openings/closings, structural changes, mergers, overdraft monitoring, and charge applications.
• Support regulator outreach efforts and provide briefings to management and department leadership.
• Participate in system and district projects or workgroups that enhance departmental functions.
