About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic Health System as a Counsel, providing independent legal judgment and substantive work for a leading healthcare organization. This remote position supports the Law Department while ensuring compliance and protecting the organization’s interests.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise or manage attorneys and paralegals as needed.
- Maintain expertise in assigned legal areas and advise on developments.
- Provide timely legal advice and implement effective legal service measures.
- Collaborate on projects and teams within the Law Department and organization.
Required profile
- Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school.
- Five+ years of practicing attorney experience, with at least two years in the specific practice area.
- Member in good standing of the Ohio or Florida bar (or ability to become one).
- Strong understanding of regulated industry operations.
Required skills
- Experience with Florida medical malpractice defense, coordination of benefits, pharmacy benefits, subrogation, patient and payer disputes, and Medicare/ALJ proceedings.
- Healthcare industry knowledge.
