Costumed Character Performer (Bluey Mascot)

About the role

CAMP is hiring costumed performers to bring the beloved Bluey character to life in a large‑scale, family‑friendly immersive experience at its 5th Avenue store. The role combines scripted dialogue with improvised interaction, engaging children and families throughout a 5,000 sq ft environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform as the Bluey mascot, following a script and adding improvised moments.
• Engage visitors using body language, gestures, and continuous animation.
• Maintain the full costume—including a size XS/S bodysuit and headpiece—throughout each shift.
• Stay active and never remain still, ensuring a magical experience for guests.
• Work flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts as scheduled.

Required profile

• Height between 5 ft and 5 ft 4 in.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to wear a full‑body costume and headpiece.
• Ability to work 4‑5 hour shifts, 5–30 hours per week.
• Comfort with not speaking while in costume.

Required skills

• Strong ability to convey emotions and messages through body language and gestures.
• Physical stamina to remain active for extended periods.
• Capability to follow choreography, scripts, and safety guidelines.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $24.50.
• Fixed‑term contract from 03/01/2026 to 10/17/2026, with possible extension.
