Cosmetics Department Manager

About the role

As a full-time Cosmetics Department Manager at Dillard’s in Atlanta, you will lead the cosmetics team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales performance. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, inventory control, and creating a compelling shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the cosmetics department, ensuring compliance with Dillard’s service and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock replenishment, and coordinate with vendors.
• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise department staff.
• Develop and execute promotional and merchandising strategies to boost sales.
• Build strong relationships with customers and partner brands.
• Analyze sales data, set performance targets, and implement growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong leadership, team-management and organizational abilities.
• Proven experience in retail sales, meeting sales targets and delivering high-quality customer service.
• Knowledge of cosmetics, beauty trends and product lines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to track metrics, analyze data and drive improvement.
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior retail or cosmetics management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management or related field is a plus.
