Corporate Relations Coordinator – Part‑time

About the role

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland seeks a part‑time Corporate Relations Coordinator to support its External Relations team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnership Development, you will help manage corporate partnerships, plan events, and produce communications that connect industry partners with students and faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute corporate‑sponsored student events, speaker series, and career/internship recruiting activities.
• Prepare proposals, invoices, and track activities for Corporate Partners in Computing (CPIC) members.
• Coordinate on‑campus meetings between industry partners and faculty/research groups.
• Support funding initiatives for student groups, faculty projects, and CPIC programs.
• Draft briefings, year‑end reports, newsletters, and weekly announcements of corporate and department events.
• Produce a monthly newsletter for CPIC partners highlighting department news and events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of professional experience in corporate relations, event planning, or a related field.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel to on‑ and off‑campus locations.
• Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lb and set up event spaces.
