Corporate Controller (Partner 36)

About the role

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is seeking a Corporate Controller to own and evolve the firm’s financial operating system. Reporting to the COO, you will ensure accurate data, disciplined processes, and scalable systems across corporate accounting, treasury, consolidation, planning, reporting, and financial technology.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, expense accounting, and treasury.
• Manage firm‑wide financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Partner with Fund Finance, Tax, HR, Legal, IT, and business leaders to deliver timely, actionable financial information.
• Own the Workday financial roadmap and drive automation using Navan and Planful.
• Strengthen financial data architecture and modernize processes to reduce manual work and improve reporting speed and quality.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading finance teams in investment management, private equity, venture capital, or similarly complex multi‑entity environments.
• Proven track record of operational excellence, financial discipline, and systems architecture.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on process modernization and team development.
