Corporate Controller

About the role

The Corporate Controller will serve as the senior financial leader for Balfour & Co., overseeing accounting and treasury functions across a multi‑plant, multi‑ERP manufacturing environment. The position is based on‑site in Aventura, FL and reports directly to executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full monthly, quarterly and annual close for multiple business units and ERP systems.
• Consolidate financial results for management and board reporting.
• Maintain GL oversight, account reconciliations and internal controls.
• Direct daily cash‑management, banking relationships, cash forecasting and treasury reporting for U.S. and Mexico operations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and production cash flows to optimize working capital.
• Manage statutory, regulatory and financial audits in both the United States and Mexico.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Mexican accounting standards and all relevant tax regulations.
• Coordinate sales, payroll and corporate tax compliance activities with external advisors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate accounting, treasury and audit within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑border teams and multi‑ERP environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Mexican accounting standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in cash‑flow management, working‑capital optimization and tax compliance.
