Corporate Controller

About the role

MarqVision is seeking a senior accounting leader to build and run its global accounting function from the ground up. This hybrid role, based in San Francisco, will shape the company’s financial infrastructure, design scalable processes, and ensure the long‑term financial health of a fast‑growing AI‑driven startup.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations, including foreign subsidiary management, transfer pricing, FX exposure, and multi‑currency consolidated reporting.
• Own month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close, handling global consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Develop and maintain technical accounting policies, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition for hybrid business models.
• Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations across U.S. and international entities.
• Prepare internal reporting and ad‑hoc financial analyses to support leadership decisions.
• Manage international, federal, state, and local tax compliance in partnership with external advisors.
• Lead the roadmap and implementation of ERP and other financial systems.
• Coordinate audits and act as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Build, mentor, and scale the accounting team as the company expands.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Extensive experience leading accounting functions in fast‑growing companies.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and multi‑currency consolidation.
