Corporate Controller

About the role

Twin River South, a Portland‑based fresh‑fruit marketer, is seeking a Corporate Controller to own the accounting function in a fast‑growing environment. The role reports directly to the CFO and requires a self‑starter who can solve complex problems, strengthen processes, and build scalable finance structures.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the CFO’s primary strategic and operational partner, delivering high‑quality financial insight.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packets.
• Support quarterly board presentations with analysis, narrative, and data visualization.
• Lead forecasting, financial modeling, and the annual budgeting process.
• Oversee quarterly and annual tax filings in coordination with the external CPA firm.
• Manage the annual CPA financial statement review, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses, data reporting, and special projects.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
• Partner cross‑functionally to align finance with business initiatives and improve workflow efficiency.
• Maintain and enhance accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and supporting automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and complex accounting transactions.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Analytical, motivated, and adaptable with a critical‑thinking mindset.
• Ability to identify weaknesses, propose improvements, and implement new procedures.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• CPA designation preferred (not required).
