Corporate Communications Manager – Litigation & Regulatory

About the role

Zillow is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to own the litigation and regulatory communications function. In this high‑trust, high‑autonomy position you will partner directly with Legal, the C‑suite and senior communications leaders to shape how the company responds to media narratives arising from legal proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive and reactive communications strategies for litigation, regulatory and legal‑risk matters.
• Serve as a trusted strategic partner to Legal and executive leadership, translating complex legal issues into clear communication positions.
• Lead cross‑functional workstreams across Legal, Communications, Policy and Investor Relations, defining objectives, workback plans and RACI frameworks.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists covering legal, regulatory and real‑estate beats, shaping narratives and responding swiftly to inquiries.
• Monitor legal, regulatory and media developments, providing intelligence and integrating lessons into communications tactics.
• Represent Communications in cross‑functional forums and ensure alignment between legal strategy and public messaging.

Required profile

• Proven experience partnering with legal teams and senior executives on high‑stakes communications.
• Exceptional judgment and ability to assess, craft and execute communications strategies independently.
• Strong influence skills, capable of driving decisions in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
