Corporate Associate Attorney – M&A (NY/NJ)

About the role

FBT Gibbons is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Business Combinations and Capital Transactions Practice Group. The attorney will work on complex M&A and general corporate matters for Fortune 500 companies, multinationals, startups and nonprofits across the New York and New Jersey offices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, including domestic and cross‑border deals.
• Draft, negotiate and review transaction agreements, corporate governance documents, and related filings.
• Provide strategic counsel on capital structure, financing, and post‑closing integration.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in M&A and general corporate transactions.
• Experience representing clients on both buy‑side and sell‑side matters; cross‑border exposure is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Admission to the New York or New Jersey bar, or eligibility for a waiver.
