Coordinator of Student Activities

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Coordinator of Student Activities to develop and manage programs that enhance student learning, engagement, and leadership across its campuses. This position works closely with faculty, staff, and community partners to create meaningful co‑curricular experiences for a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate student activities, programs, and services that support academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with peers, faculty, staff, and community partners to foster student engagement and campus involvement.
• Advise the student advisory council and support faculty/staff advisors in organizing co‑curricular and extra‑curricular organizations.
• Provide guidance for student‑sponsored events and monitor related budgets.
• Oversee four development areas: student activities, engagement, leadership, and service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in educational leadership, vocational administration, counseling, or a closely related field (experience may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis).
• Minimum two years of experience in a secondary, post‑secondary, or higher‑education environment (five years preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work with student organizations, student government, and event planning.
• Experience managing complex budgets.
