Coordinator - CEE Graduate Programs

About the role

The Coordinator supports the Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) department and assists the Graduate Programs Advisor. The role oversees graduate program applications, student employment placements, and departmental communications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Chair and manage the CEE departmental newsletter and website.
• Oversee more than 140 graduate program applications and assist current graduate students with paperwork and deadlines.
• Act as Student Employment Partner, supervising over 110 graduate student assistantships, fellowships, grants and scholarships.
• Coordinate major events such as the Hall of Distinction banquet, External Advisory Board meetings, and the annual faculty retreat.
• Compile data for strategic planning, SACS program assessments, and ABET accreditation reports.
• Serve as liaison with campus offices (International Services, Graduate School, Payroll, Facilities, etc.) and manage related requests.

Required profile

• Experience in higher‑education administration or program coordination.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
