Controller / VP of Finance

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned finance leader to serve as Controller and Vice President of Finance for a fast‑growing apparel and accessories brand. Reporting directly to the President, you will shape financial strategy, drive operational discipline and support the company’s expansion across multiple product divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead FP&A, financial planning, forecasting, modeling and board‑level reporting to enable growth initiatives, M&A and new division launches.
• Monitor gross margins, pricing, cost‑reduction and product‑mix opportunities across all categories.
• Oversee monthly close, GAAP compliance, annual audit preparation and timely financial statement delivery.
• Manage treasury functions, cash‑flow forecasting, banking relationships, capital structure and liquidity risk.
• Provide IT oversight, ensuring systems, security and support align with finance and business needs.

Required profile

• 15+ years of finance leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a VP‑level or equivalent role.
• Proven track record managing growth, division integration or expansion projects.
• Experience supervising teams of 5+ direct reports.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and executive communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; CPA, MBA or similar credential preferred.
