Controller / VP Finance

About the role

This senior finance position is based at the company’s headquarters in Dallas, TX. The Controller / VP Finance will lead the accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month‑end close process, delivering timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Coordinate banking relationships, compliance reporting, and audit activities.
• Oversee tax preparation and filing in partnership with external advisors.
• Analyze financial data to provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Build and manage a job‑costing framework to track profitability at the project level.
• Lead financial integration for M&A activities, aligning accounting policies and consolidating systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience managing finance teams.
