Controller – Manufacturing Finance Leader

About the role

John Deere is seeking a seasoned Controller to join the leadership team of its Transaxle Manufacturing operation in Rock Hill, SC. The role provides financial leadership and operational support to drive profitability and efficient resource utilization across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial and management accounting activities, including planning, capital budgeting, analysis, cost accounting, treasury, tax, and risk management.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to improve performance and achieve key performance indicators.
• Develop annual and long‑term business plans, forecast results, and build business cases for major projects.
• Establish financial guidelines and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years in an Accounting Manager or Controller role within a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of people‑leadership experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• CPA and/or CMA certification is a strong advantage.
