Controller – Luxury Retail Finance Leader

About the role

We are partnering with the CFO of a leading luxury retail company in New York City to find a dynamic Controller. This senior finance professional will oversee the accounting function, ensure accurate reporting across U.S. and international entities, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team handling accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month‑end close processes.
• Produce timely and accurate financial statements for U.S. and global business units, complying with local regulations.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist the CFO by analyzing financial data and delivering insights that drive business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience working with both IFRS and US GAAP standards.
• Background in risk management, internal controls, and tax reporting.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
