Controller – Lead Accounting Function

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead the full accounting function and embed strong financial discipline across a growing organization. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting oversight with strategic support for budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the complete accounting cycle, ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date records across internal systems, bank activity and external platforms.
• Manage the month‑end close process, including reconciliations, balance reviews and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable to guarantee correct invoice processing and timely payments.
• Maintain consistent accounting practices for multiple locations and monitor compliance with internal standards.
• Prepare and submit required reports to banking partners and franchise entities within established deadlines.
• Investigate financial issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support financial planning by contributing to annual budgets, periodic forecasts and variance analysis.
• Evaluate current processes and technology tools, recommending improvements to increase back‑office efficiency.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience in a high‑accountability environment.
• Strong expertise in account reconciliation, month‑end close and general ledger maintenance.
• Proven ability to oversee payables, reporting compliance and multi‑entity accounting.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial variance reporting for management.
• Demonstrated skill in creating structure, improving processes and upholding standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a track record of resolving discrepancies.
