About the role

Evvy is seeking a Controller to build the financial operating system that will power the company’s next stage of growth. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be the first in‑house accounting hire, responsible for the full accounting function—from close process and ERP implementation to financial reporting, controls, and scalable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own the end‑to‑end accounting process, including month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Lead ERP selection and implementation to support scalable finance operations.
• Establish and maintain robust financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Partner with leadership on capital raises, financial planning, and unit‑economics analysis.
• Execute hands‑on tasks such as reconciliations, accounts payable, and process automation.
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures from scratch.

Required profile

• Deep fluency in accounting fundamentals and GAAP.
• Comfortable balancing strategic finance work with detailed execution.
• Builder mindset with experience designing systems, automating processes, and leveraging modern tools.
• Ability to work independently as the first dedicated accounting professional in a fast‑growing startup.
