Controller – Finance Leader for Consumer Products

About the role

The Controller will act as a senior financial leader, overseeing all accounting functions and providing strategic insight to drive operational excellence across a multi‑channel consumer products business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations including General Ledger, AP, AR, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, sales, and inventory teams to analyze inventory performance, costing, and gross‑margin trends.
• Develop financial models, KPIs, and performance metrics to support decision‑making.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital planning, and banking relationships.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team while driving continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax compliance, and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in inventory‑driven, consumer‑products or wholesale environments.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and influence senior leadership.
