Controller – Finance Leader for AI Healthcare Platform

About the role

ExaCare AI is building an AI platform for post‑acute healthcare operations. As Controller you will own the accounting foundation and ensure financial integrity, partnering closely with the CEO and cross‑functional leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a fast, accurate monthly close targeting a 5‑day close and prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Establish and maintain revenue‑recognition policies (US GAAP, ASC 606) and internal controls across order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, and record‑to‑report.
• Partner with sales and RevOps to align quoting, billing, collections, and pricing governance.
• Oversee invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and credit management to improve DSO and cash predictability.
• Implement vendor onboarding, approval workflows, contract renewal calendars, and spend controls.
• Ensure accurate multi‑jurisdiction payroll, benefits accounting, cap‑table hygiene, and stock‑based compensation accounting.
• Lead or support NetSuite (or similar ERP) implementation and ensure financial data is the source of truth across systems.
• Maintain cash forecasting, banking administration, payment controls, and optimize vendor terms.
• Provide clean actuals and reconciliations to enable budgeting, forecasting, and unit‑economics analysis.
• Support strategic projects such as fundraising diligence, pricing changes, partnerships, and potential debt facilities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
• CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred; public‑accounting background helpful.
• Mastery of US GAAP and ASC 606; exposure to IFRS and multi‑entity or cross‑border operations is a plus.
• Proven track record of owning a fast monthly close and preparing financial statements.
