Controller – Finance & Accounting Leader

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Controller to own day‑to‑day accounting operations and partner closely with the CFO. This is a builder role where you will design and modernise the accounting function as the company scales its international, venture‑backed business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, ensuring full GAAP compliance.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
• Design and execute the migration to a new ERP system (NetSuite preferred), including chart of accounts redesign and data migration.
• Oversee accounting and consolidation for multiple international entities, handling multi‑currency reporting.
• Coordinate the external audit process and act as primary liaison for auditors and tax advisors.
• Build and mentor a lean accounting team as the function expands.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Operations on forecasting, vendor terms and working‑capital management.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Proven experience implementing ERP systems, especially NetSuite or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑entity, multi‑currency accounting and consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal‑controls development.
• Background in high‑growth, venture‑backed startups or scale‑ups.
