Controller – Finance & Accounting Lead

About the role

The Controller will own the full finance and accounting function of a lean, high‑performing industrial manufacturing operation. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the private‑equity ownership group, this hands‑on position is a strategic partner driving EBITDA growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all finance and accounting activities including general ledger, AR/AP, month‑end close, financial reporting, tax, insurance, banking relationships, annual audit, and internal controls.
• Provide timely analysis of financial performance, variance to plan, and business trends to senior leadership.
• Represent the company to lenders, owners, external accountants, tax professionals, and insurance providers.
• Supervise the accounting team and oversee external finance, tax, and audit relationships.
• Oversee existing value‑based pricing methodologies and develop new pricing initiatives.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles, maintaining the management reporting package.

Required profile

• Hands‑on operating experience in finance and accounting for a capital‑intensive U.S. manufacturing business.
• Proven ability to translate operational performance into financial insight and support strategic decision‑making.
• Experience with value‑based pricing and driving EBITDA growth.
• Strong leadership skills to serve as a core member of the senior leadership team.
