Controller – Corporate Accounting & Finance

About the role

The Controller will report directly to the VP of Finance and lead corporate accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, internal controls, and shared services for a multi‑entity industrial holding company. This hybrid position offers broad exposure across finance functions and executive‑level visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes across multiple entities.
• Oversee consolidated financial reporting, eliminations and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
• Supervise and develop a small corporate accounting team.
• Partner with finance leaders of operating businesses to improve reporting consistency.
• Assess accounting organization structure, talent needs and process effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain strong financial governance and internal control frameworks.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls across key accounting processes.
• Drive efficiency and standardisation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Leverage technology and automation to streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with FP&A and operational leadership to create management reporting and analytics.
• Provide executive leadership with financial insights and decision‑support analysis.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate accounting, consolidations and month‑end close for multi‑entity organizations.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
• Strong partnership skills with finance and operational leaders.
• Track record of improving internal controls and process efficiency.
• Experience leveraging technology to automate accounting workflows.
