Controller – Blue Point Project

About the role

The Controller for the Blue Point Project will be a key financial leader on one of CF Industries’ largest capital investments – a $4 billion greenfield facility. You will establish and maintain robust financial controls, ensure compliance with corporate policies and SOX, and provide clear financial insight throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial controls, compliance, and governance for a multi‑billion‑dollar capital project.
• Lead accounting activities for construction‑in‑progress, fixed assets, accruals, capital calls and cash calls.
• Manage monthly close processes and general‑ledger entries related to project accounting.
• Partner with Project Controls to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting and financial transparency.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, acting as a trusted financial advisor.
• Identify financial risks and recommend solutions to protect the project while enabling timely decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Significant experience in project accounting for large‑scale construction or capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, financial controls and corporate accounting policies.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close and complex general‑ledger activities.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
