Controller – $160k‑$185k + Bonus

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing private‑equity‑backed manufacturer in Farmers Branch, TX, is seeking a high‑performing Controller to lead the accounting function. The role offers a base salary of $160‑$185k plus bonus and provides visibility with executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee core accounting activities including general ledger, month‑end close and preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and manage all regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare private‑equity sponsor reports, board packages and performance metrics for lenders and investors.
• Lead cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation to improve margin visibility.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, support audit readiness and drive continuous process improvement.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting and working‑capital optimization, partnering with operations to improve inventory turns.
• Collaborate on annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5‑8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or contract manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience in a private‑equity‑backed or high‑growth environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
