Control Panel Technician

About the role

Carotek, a SunSource company, is seeking a Control Panel Technician to assemble and fabricate electrical control panels, junction boxes and wire harnesses for industrial equipment in its Matthews warehouse. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes and wire harnesses according to specifications.
• Fabricate controls, layout components on back panels, and perform point‑to‑point wiring of relays, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces and instrumentation.
• Determine dimensions, mount components, and route/bundle wiring to meet standards.
• Troubleshoot panels to resolve wiring errors and component malfunctions.
• Maintain and communicate red‑line drawing mark‑ups for engineering revisions.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret control system wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing, basic math, and metric‑to‑imperial conversions.
• Working knowledge of electrical theory and terminology.
• Experience using measuring equipment, levels, squares and hand tools.
