Contractual Hourly Registered Nurse

About the role

The University Health Center in College Park is seeking a part‑time, contractual Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and support campus health emergencies. This on‑site position works Monday through Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, and reports to the Health Center leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Administer treatments according to physicians’ orders, policies, and protocols.
• Assess and evaluate patient conditions, responding to normal, abnormal, emergent, or life‑threatening situations.
• Perform nursing skills such as injections, patient assessments, and diagnostic techniques.
• Document care accurately using coding rules in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with medical staff and communicate patient information effectively.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Maryland State Board of Nursing licensure and CPR certification.
• Minimum three years of nursing practice experience.
• Ability to work part‑time hours on‑site and lift up to 10 lb.
