Contract Prescribing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Child & Adolescent Mental Health)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates, which partners with Lyra Health, a mental health care provider, is hiring a contract Child and Adolescent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (1099 contractor) in Lewes, Delaware. The role provides evidence-based mental health care to children, teens and young adults through live 30-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management. You will be contracted by Lyra Clinical Associates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management via a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-ups
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations and longitudinal medication treatment
• Build patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, message patients and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Follow clinical best-practice guidelines such as measurement-based care, patient-centered care and minimizing medication risks while maximizing benefits
• Refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services alongside your care

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited CCNE Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program, or an accredited ARC-PA program with PANCE certification (preference for a psychiatry certificate, fellowship or MD with a psychiatry concentration)
• Unrestricted state license and a minimum of 2 years in practice
• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs with an active DEA license
• Preference for providers with additional certification or clinical experience with minors
• Office space available to see clients in the Lewes area
• Ability to treat patients across a wide range of diagnoses, complexity and severity, with a preference for in-person options
• Full-time resident of the United States
