Contract Attorney / Contracts Manager (Remote, Part‑Time)

About the role

Robert Half is partnering with a mission‑driven nonprofit to secure a Contract Attorney or Contracts Manager on a part‑time, fully remote basis. You will support a growing contracts function, help streamline processes, and build scalable contracting infrastructure for a high‑impact organization.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, data‑sharing, collaboration, and payment‑provider contracts.
• Manage a workflow of approximately 15–20 U.S.-based contracts per month.
• Support implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and legal team members across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure contracts comply with organizational policies, risk‑management standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with contract standardization and the development of scalable legal processes.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active U.S. bar license strongly preferred; substantial commercial contract management experience may substitute for a law license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience managing contracts in a high‑volume environment.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms and contract management systems.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
