Contract Accountant (Finance & Operations)

About the role

Rilla is seeking a Contract Accountant to join its Finance team in New York. In this hands‑on position you will own core accounting processes, drive the financial close, and help build the internal controls and reporting infrastructure needed for rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end and annual close, including journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP for subscription and multi‑period arrangements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accruals, prepaid expenses and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Prepare financial statements, internal management reports and support annual audits and tax filings.
• Drive finance system implementations and workflow automation initiatives.
• Assist with cash‑flow management, forecasting and budgeting activities.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Partner with operations, finance and leadership on ad‑hoc analyses and process improvements.
