Construction Worker I – Project Support (Alaska)

About the role

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Construction Worker I to support project work across its Alaska facilities. The role involves maintaining and constructing plant production areas, office buildings, and related equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate medium‑sized equipment such as skid‑steers, forklifts, dock cranes, man lifts and telescoping lifts.
• Erect, stage and dismantle scaffolding safely.
• Perform wood framing, window and door installation, roofing and interior carpentry, including sheetrock finishing.
• Install ventilation ductwork and plumbing fixtures.
• Form, reinforce and place concrete for structural elements.
• Travel to various Alaska plants to provide additional coverage as needed.
• Adhere strictly to Trident’s environmental and safety policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in carpentry or construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or skilled‑trades training is a plus.
• OSHA 10 certification (provided if not already held).
• Ability to meet physical demands of standing, walking, climbing, lifting and working in various positions.

Required skills

• Operation of skid‑steer, forklift, dock crane, man lift and telescoping lift.
• Scaffolding assembly and safety.
• Wood framing, window/door installation, roofing, interior carpentry and sheetrock.
• Ventilation duct and plumbing fixture installation.
• Concrete forming, reinforcing and placement.
• OSHA 10 safety knowledge.
