Construction Superintendent – Luxury Custom Residential

About the role
We are a high‑end builder delivering architecturally sophisticated luxury homes and complex projects throughout the Vail Valley. This position offers full field leadership on 1‑2 custom residential projects, guiding them from mobilization through warranty while upholding our standards of safety, quality, and client partnership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on‑site operations for custom projects with budgets ranging from $3M to $20M.
- Coordinate subcontractors, manage sequencing, and oversee daily site activities.
- Develop and maintain overall project schedules and rolling two‑week look‑ahead plans.
- Conduct proactive design reviews, flagging constructability issues before field execution.
- Manage quality control, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and finish standards.
- Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost reporting in partnership with the project manager and accounting.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites that reflect well to clients, neighbors, and inspectors.
- Serve as the primary on‑site liaison with clients, architects, and inspectors.
Required profile
- 7‑10+ years in construction, including 5+ years as a superintendent on high‑end custom homes or similarly complex projects.
- Proven track record delivering projects from pre‑construction through certificate of occupancy and warranty phases.
- Deep knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and high‑end finishes.
- Experience with mountain or cold‑weather building (snow loads, moisture management, steep sites) is preferred.

- Salary range $80,000–$180,000 DOE, reflecting experience level
