Construction Superintendent – Large Scale LNG Projects

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will report to the Construction Manager and lead day‑to‑day field activities on large‑scale LNG projects. This position ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of work performed by EPC contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contractor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and project requirements.
• Champion and enforce company and contractor safety programs, procedures, and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Monitor contractor workforce, equipment, and progress, deploying resources to meet schedule commitments.
• Verify construction work against approved drawings, codes, standards, and quality requirements; coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams.
• Track daily progress, identify potential delays, and work with contractors on recovery plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, procurement, and project controls to resolve technical issues.
• Provide accurate daily/weekly reports and escalate risks, issues, or conflicts.
• Assist in evaluating change requests, claims, and scope adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience on large‑scale industrial projects, preferably LNG or cryogenic facilities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial construction project management, LNG processing, receiving terminals, and related regulatory codes.
• High level of health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) awareness.
• Understanding of human‑resources policies and employee‑relations principles.
