Construction Superintendent

About the role

Goldbeam Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead day‑to‑day field operations on restaurant and retail tenant‑buildout projects across Texas. You will be the on‑site authority for schedule, quality, safety and subcontractor coordination from mobilization through final turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on projects with 6–16 week schedules.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across all trades, including MEP, framing, drywall, flooring, millwork, signage and kitchen equipment installation.
• Develop three‑week look‑ahead schedules, sequence trades and drive the job to on‑time turnover.
• Enforce quality standards, conduct inspections at each milestone and manage the punch list to zero.
• Maintain a safe, clean, OSHA‑compliant job site and lead daily toolbox talks.
• Submit daily digital reports with photos, log deliveries and flag issues through the project management platform.
• Coordinate municipal inspections, utility connections and health‑department walkthroughs.
• Communicate proactively with project managers, landlords, franchisees and vendors.
• Manage site logistics such as deliveries, staging, security and tenant/landlord requirements in occupied shopping centers.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent or lead foreman on commercial construction projects, preferably restaurant or retail tenant improvements.
• Working knowledge of all major trades and the ability to read plans and specifications fluently.
• Strong scheduling instincts and the ability to sequence trades and recover lost days.
• Comfortable using digital tools for reporting, photo documentation and punch‑list management.
• Familiarity with health‑department and municipal inspection processes for food‑service spaces is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain promptly).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Texas.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
