Construction Superintendent

About the role

We are a leading commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead large‑scale ground‑up projects throughout Orlando and Central Florida. The role demands strong field leadership, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors while upholding schedule, safety, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for large‑scale ground‑up projects.
• Manage subcontractors, manpower, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
• Maintain project schedules, two‑week look‑aheads, and daily reporting.
• Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality‑control activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy.
• Oversee installation of structural steel, PEMB systems, CMU, slab work, MEP trades, and interior build‑outs.
• Conduct site walks with owners, architects, and project managers.
• Resolve field issues quickly to maintain workflow and prevent delays.
• Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects.
• Experience with large‑scale construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Proficiency with daily logs, scheduling tools, and project documentation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Central Florida.
