Construction Superintendent

About the role

Tidal Construction Group LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for commercial projects across Florida. The role focuses on safety, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site planning and coordination of subcontractors and vendors according to contracts and project guidelines.
• Read, interpret, and apply plans and specifications; develop and maintain 2‑week look‑ahead schedules.
• Ensure code compliance, coordinate quality inspections, and oversee permit inspections.
• Handle shop drawing processes, material expediting, daily cleanup, and equipment start‑up/commissioning.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment; conduct daily walk‑throughs and specialty inspections.
• Submit daily and weekly status updates to senior management and track all project documentation.
• Prepare change proposals and ensure coverage for direct costs, equipment, and time‑related activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of superintendent or project management experience in commercial construction.
• Proven track record managing multiple projects ranging from $2M to $10M.
• Experience with office construction, tenant improvements, renovations, high‑end restaurants, and medical office build‑outs.
• Strong ability to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Procore or Autodesk construction software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project for scheduling.
