Construction Superintendent

About the role

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site operations for projects at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia and surrounding locations. This full‑time, on‑site position requires supervising subcontractors, field personnel, and ensuring work complies with contract documents, specifications, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day field operations for assigned projects.
• Manage subcontractors and field personnel, coordinating short‑ and long‑term schedules.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, drawings, and proposals.
• Maintain project quality, control costs, and meet project deadlines.
• Support RQ’s mission, vision, and values through effective leadership and communication.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Superintendent overseeing mid‑size construction projects.
• At least 4 years practical construction or trade‑related experience.
• Prior experience with government, military, or major commercial projects strongly preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, EM‑385, and STS certifications required (training may be provided).
• Bilingual English/Spanish abilities are a plus.
• LEED Green Associate (GA) or Accredited Professional (AP) certification preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit (preferred).
• Ability to manage scheduling, procurement, field operations, safety compliance, quality assurance, and production throughout all construction phases.
