Construction Superintendent – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Superintendent will lead on‑site activities for the I‑10 Calcasieu River Bridge and associated highway reconstruction in Lake Charles, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and review work performed by each craft, coordinating with field supervision and subcontractors.
• Perform quantity take‑off, control, tracking, reporting and forecasting for civil disciplines.
• Prepare cost estimates and support the preparation of cost, forecast and progress reports.
• Manage tool and equipment usage, and process material requisitions to keep crews productive.
• Ensure the most current design documents are used and that all design changes are approved before implementation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for compliance with specifications, schedules and budgets.
• Hire, motivate, coach, and retain a high‑performing team; conduct training, performance reviews and personnel actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising large‑scale civil construction projects, preferably bridges or highway infrastructure.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple trades, subcontractors and field engineers.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, engineers and crew members.
