Construction Superintendent – Commercial Projects

About the role

The Superintendent is a key field leader responsible for safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery of commercial construction projects. Reporting to the General Superintendent, you will oversee daily jobsite operations, manage field personnel, and coordinate all construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑construction activities, job walks and project planning meetings.
• Develop and maintain jobsite logistics plans, master schedules and weekly look‑ahead schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and material needs with project teams and the Warehouse Manager.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and attend Owner‑Architect‑Contractor meetings.
• Maintain daily reports, photographs and project documentation in the company software.
• Establish site‑specific safety plans, conduct inspections and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Inspect subcontractor work for quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership to Assistant Superintendents, carpenters, laborers and interns.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience with tenant improvements, ground‑up construction, renovations and life‑science projects.
• High school diploma (additional education a plus).
• Current OSHA 30 certification; CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work nights/weekends as needed.
