Construction Superintendent – Commercial Projects

About the role

Spartan Construction – SCM is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead on‑site execution of ground‑up builds and property expansions across commercial construction projects ranging from $1 million to $25 million. The role ensures safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met while supporting the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily on‑site activities for all trades, including civil, concrete, framing, electrical, and finishes.
• Coordinate subcontractors, conduct weekly look‑ahead meetings, and maintain 100% on‑schedule performance.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules, aiming for <5% variance and keeping critical path items within ±3 days of baseline.
• Secure permits ahead of construction start dates and achieve 100% on‑time inspections with zero compliance violations.
• Identify and resolve performance issues within 48 hours.
• Participate in pre‑construction activities, reviewing drawings for constructability and supporting value‑engineering opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects of $1 M–$25 M.
• Strong track record of delivering projects on time and under budget.
