Construction Superintendent (Commercial)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up construction, renovations and tenant-improvement projects across the Los Angeles market. The role requires a hands-on field leader who can manage multiple trades, coordinate subcontractors and deliver projects safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through final close-out.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and field personnel.
• Coordinate project schedules, manpower, material deliveries and site logistics.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Conduct daily inspections, identify quality or schedule issues and address them promptly.
• Run subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate progress to project management.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs and other project documentation.
• Oversee inspections, punch-list preparation and final turnover.
• Prepare accurate daily reports, logs and construction documentation.
• Build strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors and project teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
• Proven experience with retail, big-box, grocery, restaurant, hospitality or large-scale tenant-improvement projects.
• Hands-on ground-up construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, sequencing and site logistics.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar platforms.
