Construction Site Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Site Superintendent is the on‑site leader for commercial and industrial projects in the Capital Region. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure quality workmanship, keep projects on schedule, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors and the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations, guaranteeing safety, efficiency and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Schedule, direct and monitor subcontractors, providing resources and clear expectations.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence, resolve issues promptly and keep work progressing.
• Conduct quality control reviews and order corrective actions when needed.
• Develop and update short‑term (3‑4 week) look‑ahead schedules aligned with overall milestones.
• Facilitate on‑site meetings with subcontractors, internal teams and stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress, risk and resource updates to project managers.
• Document daily activities, manpower, safety observations and site conditions in Procore.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Collaborate with skilled trades to sequence work and solve constructability challenges.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of skilled trades such as carpentry and masonry.
• Hands‑on approach to subcontractor management and problem‑solving.
• Strong focus on safety, documentation and clear communication.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends when required.
